Adding cellulose to attic floors. We use GreenFiber cocoon 85% recycled material with superior performance and density.
Insulating hollow walls with cellulose (dense pack method, exterior drill and fill method recommended by EPA and Energy Star Home Performance)
Sealing up your crawlspace to Energy Star Hot Climate specifications to remedy moisture and air quality issues. We lay extra thick puncture resistant plastic over the entire crawlspace (vapor and moisture barrier), seal it to the pillars and foundation walls providing a clean, rodent free space under your home.

Adding proper ventilation to attics (solar attic fans), bathrooms (to reduce moisture and mildew issues) and kitchens (exhaust combustion gases from open cooking surfaces)

Step 1: Consultation

Register for an Energy Star Home Performance Assessment and make appointment for an in-home visit to fully analyze your home's performance. During this phase we collect your utility bill data (gas, electric, water & sewer) and conduct a pre-inspection analysis of your home's performance compared to your neighborhood averages.

Step 2: In-Home Evaluation

Once we have assessed your home's energy index (for both water and overall energy usage) we arrive at your home to conduct a complete home performance evaluation. During this phase an energy performance consultant meets you at your home to conduct and in-home performance assessment. This allows us to focus in on the issues uncovered in the Consultation phase regarding your energy usage and to further refine your home's performance analysis.

Step 3: Home Health Retrofit

Within a week after compiling your home health evaluation, we will present the results to you in a Eco-Tune Home Performance Analysis (click for Sample Report [1mb PDF]) that outlines our recommendations complete with cost estimates and your eligible tax credits. We list the items that have the lowest cost and maximum benefit first. You can choose to do any or all on your timetable. You can choose to do it yourself, hire your own contractors, or allow us to provide a turn-key solution using only pre-certified green contractors. Armed with a customized Home Performance Analysis, you are able to prioritize the work you need in the order that works with your timeline and returns the best SIR (Savings to Investment Ratio). Our Home Performance Analysis provides you with a valuable reference tool in order to prioritize projects and accurately estimate costs. Some of the services we offer are: installation of Solatube Solar light tubes, Solar Powered Attic Exhaust Fans, Blown GreenFiber Recycled Cellulose Insulation, Rain Barrel Water Collection & Affordable Gray Water retrofit systems (flush your toilets with shower/bath waste water), Tankless water heaters and High Efficiency Heating and Cooling upgrades. We use special infrared thermographic cameras to literally see inside your walls! This thermographic blueprint highlights hot and cold spots and gaps in insulation allowing you to pinpoint areas in need of repair and saving money at the same time. This technology can also uncover electrical problems as well as moisture conditions that could lead to mold and health issues.
